For the second year in a row, the Leopards' chances at a Patriot League Championship were ruined after a heartbreaking loss to Holy Cross. Once again, missed extra points were the difference in them forcing overtime. Quarterback Rob Curley '10, tailback Maurice White '10 and the rest of the Lafayette Leopards did everything they could, but in the end fell short, 28-26.
After drowning Navy 3-0, the Leopards advanced into the Patriot League tournament for the eighth straight season. With this victory, Lafayette secured the No. 4 seed in the tournament, with Bucknell securing the No. 1 seed and hosting the tournament. The Leopards were, however, unable to ride their momentum and fell 1-0 in overtime to the Bucknell Bison.
Hailing from Urbana, Illinois, Nick Leigh '10 is a vital part of the Lafayette Men's Soccer team. Playing in the right back position for the first team this year, Leigh did not fail to impress. He helped anchor a strong Lafayette defense that recorded 11 shutouts this season.

While for some students it may just be throwing a disc around the Quad on a warm fall day, for Lafayette Aflicktion-the school's club ultimate team-ultimate is more than a casual game; it is a way of life.
Lafayette Women's basketball got off to a slow start, losing their season opener last Friday against St. Peter's University, but rebounded to win their first game on the road with a 58-55 victory over Monmouth University on Monday. The Leopards continued their trend of alternating wins and losses with a 52-29 defeat at the hands of Fairfield Wednesday.
It has been quite a drought for the Lafayette College Men's Basketball team. They have made an early exit in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament for the past six seasons. However, after losing only Andrew Brown '09 to graduation, Lafayette brings back four of five starters and has an opportunity to bring Lafayette to prominence in the Patriot League.
Next Saturday, the Leopards will look to avenge last year's 31-15 loss against the Mountain Hawks in a game that could also have playoff implications. A win could potentially give the number 22/21 Leopards an at-large bid in the NCAA FCS Playoffs. Ryan Hart-Predmore '10 said this year's seniors will have extra motivation playing their last game for the Leopards.
Lafayette Cross Country raced in their final meet of the season on Saturday at the Division 1 Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships against 26 women's teams and 28 men's. The women's team set school history with a ninth place finish, above all other Patriot League teams, including Patriot League Champions, Bucknell.
